Done

My book is totally finished and it's only the... uh... guess it's the 18th now. I added as much as I possibly could to it, and did the final spelling and grammar check. I read the thing three times to make sure it was how I liked it. I published it through LuLu.com in about an hour and fifteen minutes because I was having some difficulties with the site. I may not have won NaNo (clocked in at 36,393 words), but I completed my goal of writing a memoir. I think I'll begin a new book, a fiction story, to work on, just kind of for fun.

Very cool. You managed to write at a steady pace of 2000 words per day, and you finished a manuscript. Congratulations.

Now, by all means, keep writing *something*; anything; stories; journal entries; whatever...

Tack them onto your memoir and upload it as your "NaNoWriMo novel." You'll "win" easily (at that pace.) That way you'll at least be eligible for a free copy of your 36K memoir from Lulu. You've certainly earned it.

Awesome! I think you are the first winner on this blog - and I know from your posts that this wasn't an easy thing for you, so congrats!

And yes, by all means keep writing! If nothing else, NaNoWriMo has helped me remember why I used to write every day... and I hope to continue the daily writing habit after November is over.

I'll likely go over the 50K mark tonight or tomorrow, but I'm going to write until the story is finished too. Probably another 5K or 6K words in all.

Again, congrats!!
